Hi all,

there are good caches and there are great chaches. I thought it might be nice to have a thread that we can use to highlight those great caches. they can be great for many reasons, location, skill, content, views, acsessability, what ever for you makes them stand out.

I would like to set the ball rolling with a great ring we did this afternoon. If anyone finds themselves on the outskirts of Bath on the wiltshire border then look this one up.
Tomb of the Architect Ring GC1KWCQ 7 caches.
The walk takes you through woodland so unfortunalty is not accsesable for wheelchairs, buggy's or scooters.
it is as the name suggests part of a memorial cache but the views are amazing and the walking although muddy is really great it tkes you through diverse woodland and we did not see any other human in the woods although there was plenty of wildlife including badger's woodpeckers, buzzards etcit is listed as being 1.5 miles but we clocked it at 3.5 starting and finishing at the pub (great food) where the landlord allowed us to park for the afternoon. (we did ask after ordering a meal).
really great afternoon.....

My favourite cache so far has to be GCWEG6...it is an ofset multi up on Ilkley Moor.

The first coordinates take you to a box with some instructions and some equipment...you then have to retrieve the final cache from a crack in the face of a crag...gone fishing...

Not laughed as much in ages and the views across wharfedale are astounding; not to mention the Curlews, Meadow Pipits, Reed Buntings and even a Redshank that we saw close by.

After visiting North Wales last week I have a new favourite cache, it is

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=6221e15b-0375-43cd-b72c-a552cf142103

An absolutely stunning location with a terrific view. Its damm hard to get to which involves scrambling a very steep hill but sooo worth it, check this out,

Aber falls

At the cache

Near the cache

It nearly killed me getting up there. I had already climbed Holyhead mountain that day but this was the icing on the cake. As you can see I made a special point of sporting my clan Tshirt that day. I got some funny looks from people, I swear the petrol garage attendant recognised it but he diddn't say anything  Cheesy
